A condition of the body in which the circulating blood is not able to adequately oxygenate the cells and receive the products of metabolism.

Evaluate safety

Check consciousness

Stop the bleeding

Call 112

Provide access to fresh air

Provide thermal comfort

Consider the anti-shock position

Symptoms of hypovolemic shock:
• accelerated, irregular breathing,
• accelerated heartbeat felt as palpitations,
• pale sweaty skin,
• feeling of coldness,
• trembling,
• a feeling of thirst,
- disturbance of consciousness (when the condition worsens).

Types of shocks:
• Hypovolemic (hemorrhagic)
• Anaphylactic
• Septic
• Cardiogenic
• Neurogenic

Remember:
Passive elevation of the lower extremities in the anti-shock position can be considered in a casualty who has no signs of trauma!
