A victim with whom no logical contact can be established, who does not respond to external stimuli (touch, calling) and has no injuries.

HOW CAN I HELP?

Evaluate safety

Ask for help
from someone who is nearby

Check consciousness

Tilt the victim's head

Examine the breath for 10 sec.

If the victim is breathing,
put him in the “safe” position

Call 112

Causes of unconsciousness:
• injuries
• poisoning (e.g., alcohol)
• disease
• sudden life-threatening condition (e.g., heart attack, stroke)

Risks:
• cardiac arrest
• death
