Nosebleeds

Evaluate safety

Tilt the victim's head forward

With minor bleeding, tighten the wings of the nose

Make him breathe with his mouth

Make cold compresses on the back of the nose and forehead

Causes:
• nose injuries
• exhaustion
• physical exercise
• hypertension
• alcohol
• Excessive use of anticoagulants (such as aspirin)

Remember:
• Don't put anything up your nose.
• Do not tilt the victim's head back.
• Bleeding in healthy people should pass within minutes.
• If the victim continues to bleed after 15-20 minutes, instruct him to see a doctor.

Call 112 if the victim:
• is very pale, breaking a sweat, weakened,
• is sleepy and there is a disturbance of consciousness, 
• requires medical consultation, and cannot go to the hospital himself.
